Our journey with the Waterside Hotel began with the refurbishment of the Family Change, Female Change and Male Change. The thriving fitness facility demanded modern and functional changing spaces. The existing areas hadn’t been updated for 20 years and required all new ventilation, plumbing and plant. We worked closely with the client to create individual and striking colour schemes for each area. Each area was rewired, plastered and finished with wall and floor tiles along with the latest glass automated lockers and cubicles.

Following on from the success with the changing facilities we were invited to assist the client in creating a modern and inviting Café and Bar area to allow members and guest to regroup and relax. Bespoke bar fitting and hardwood tops were sourced along with the installation of feature LED lighting to create a high end look on a modest budget. The hotel decided to offer something different from their competitors and we aided them in creating a dedicated Cookery School within their grounds. Over a 6 week period we fully refurbished the existing dated kitchen to create a striking and functional space for their clientele.

Waterside Hotel (2018)

The client decided to update their exiting fitness facilities to offer the latest equipment and workout space for their members. We converted a courtyard to create a new resistance area extending their already busy gym. The works were completed over an 8 week programme and included the installation of a new steel structure with a state of the art warm roof along with a full refurbishment to the electrics, floor and wall finishes. The existing Dance Studio and Spin Studio also received an overhaul incorporating vinyl wraps and feature lighting to create a state of the art facility.

Future works at the Waterside in 2019 include a Day Spa, Restaurant, Hotel and Leisure Reception Refurb and formation of new hotel bedrooms with ensuite facility.

Bollington Leisure Trust

Bollington Leisure Trust have chosen Parkholme as their preferred builder on numerous projects since 2014. Our works have included the refurbishment of the wet side changing facilities, dry side WC’s and Spa. Being a Trust means that the client has to ensure they get a quality job at an affordable price and we pride ourselves in offering this to our clients time and time again.

Border Sports Leisure Trust

Our works with Border Sports Leisure Trust have varied from squash court conversions to form new studios to refurbishing whole leisure centres. Our projects include Teviotdale Leisure Centre, Peebles Leisure Centre and most recently Selkirk Leisure Centre. These projects were won on a tender basis and all jobs were completed within the allocated budget and to the agreed timescales.

Secret Garden Children's Play Centre

We stepped into the unknown when we were invited to tender for a fit out to refurbish an old car showroom and garage into a children’s play centre in Yorkshire. We worked closely with the client and their interior design to create a bright and modern children's play centre with Café and washroom facilities. The project was completed in 7 weeks.

Parkholme were invited to tender for the fit out of a three storey fitness facility within the Oldham Athletic Football Club new North Stand. We worked closely with the client to create a facility to entice clients in an already busy market ensuring that the facility stood out. Glogym included the latest fitness equipment in a large open plan Gym, Spin Studio, Fitness Studio and Changing Facilities. The project was completed in 12 weeks with budgets kept in mind at all times.

Purbeck Sports Centre

The works included the refurbishment of the existing fitness suite and changing rooms along with a double squash court conversion, two multi-purpose studios and a kids zone. The project was delivered on time and within budget.

Stirling Sports Village

Stirling Council commissioned a purpose built sports facility and we were contracted to fit out the fitness suite with the sub floor, electrical installation, flooring and reception area.

The project included the conversion of a lower ground floor storage space into a self-contained fitness facility. The reconfiguration of the space incorporated a fitness suite, changing rooms, multi-purpose studio, reception/office and treatment rooms.

Surbiton Squash & Leisure

The works involved the conversion of two squash courts to form a two storey fitness suite and spinning studio. The existing changing rooms also received a facelift providing the customers with a clean and modern fitness facility.

Pendle LC (Pendle Leisure Trust)

The provision of new Fitness facility extension adjacent to the existing Leisure Centre, delivered on a design and build basis. Problematic ground conditions necessitated piled foundations and methane control measures be incorporated into the design. The brief was for a CV and Resistance area, with limited overflow changing rooms.

Mercer Hall (Hyndburn Leisure Trust)

The Client brief was to provide a Fitness Suite, Aerobic Studio and Cafeteria Area with a new kitchen.We secured the project due to a proposal that maximized the existing period features of the three areas, whilst at the same time providing a modern facility that was both welcoming in nature and also created the right environment for the users.

The Client’s requirement was for a two storey extension incorporating a Fitness Suite, Aerobic Studio and Changing Rooms, within a fixed budget.Our ability to provide the facility suited to the budget enabled the project to move forward, and due to the close working relationship that developed, the fully completed project was handed over on time and on budget.

This project was the upgrading of a very tired company sports club to provide an expanded floor area including Fitness Studio with Cardio Theatre, two Multi Purpose Studios, Free weights area, Treatment Room, Office and extended changing rooms.

Your Gym - Salford

The client was looking to create a budget gym with a stylish and modern environment fitted out with the latest fitness equipment. The works included the conversion of an empty shell in the Salford City Stadium into a two storey fitness facility complete with Fitness Suite, Spinning Area, Personal Training Space and Changing Rooms. The project was carried out in 10 weeks and was completed on budget.
